Welcome to Southern Highlands Bridge Club.
Thanks for visiting our website. The Southern Highlands Bridge Club (SHBC) is a friendly and active duplicate bridge club that warmly welcomes players of all standards.
With over 130 members, we are able to offer three regular club sessions (Monday afternoon, Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon), as well as a number of full day red point championship and trophy events such as our Swiss Pairs and Teams Championships and the Bong Bong Cup.
As an affiliated club, we also participate in a number of annual NSWBA and ABF bridge competitions. As well, we host a very popular annual congress in November each year and in April 2017 we again hosted the NSW Novice and Restricted Pairs Championship.
Members, we trust you will find our website informative and easy to navigate. You will be able to access your results immediately following every session, enrol in coming events, find advice on some of the commonly misunderstood rules, regulations and conventions, access information about the deliberations of your committee, and receive the latest news about members and their achievements. We will continue to add and refine the content and look forward to receiving your feedback and suggestions.
Visitors and new players, if you would like to join us for a game, please feel free to walk in on a Monday or Saturday afternoon and we will be sure to provide you with a partner. If you would prefer, you can contact our ‘partner arranger’ who will be happy to assist. We play at the accessible East Bowral Community Centre If you would like to join us and become a member of our friendly club, please contact our secretary. Our membership application form can be downloaded here.
While the competitive element is always an important and integral part of the game at our club, our members also play bridge for the enjoyment and quality social opportunities it provides at SHBC.
Hope to see you at the bridge table very soon!
